I've always enjoyed female voices.

Voices add character to music and it really makes this remix interesting. I like how you utilized her voice samples. The beat is really enjoyable as well. Keep pumping out stuff like this! Hope to hear more from you soon.

DJExcalibur responds:

Thanks. I like it how i managed to actually compose every aspect of the song using my keyboard unlike those cheap bastards who use someone elses loops and compile them together to make their 'own song'. Anyway, thanks for the review. More songs soon.

Tribute to a good song

It's harder but not as lively, but it's a great cover. The voice is very clear, well done on that! The live instruments are always great to listen to when done right. Keep up the great covers.

HackMaster321 responds:

Thanks a lot man. I may not be the greatest, but hey, I do what I love :-P. I actually am a lot better at making my own music:

Pretty good stuff

Nice and simple. If you were able to make it so it loops seamlessly it would be very usable in flash and game projects. The break in the beat was a good thing for the track. Sounds as if you're getting back in the groove; can't wait to hear more from you.

STAgeZ responds:

thanks

Music that sets the mood

It's simplistic but the beat and rhythm are very effective. A very dark and foreboding track and is very useable in all kinds of projects. There is a slight problem with volume fade in the beginning but thats always fixable. The addition of instruments was very fluent. This stuff is definately your strong suit. Keep it up!

AlmightyLemon responds:

thanks again man.

The effort is there.

It just seems like you need some tools to work with because it sounds like it was meant more for the BGM of Wolfenstien rather than anything new. You have an honest beat and rhythm going on, but the sounds that you are using dosen't give it justice. Keep it up, but look around for other software that you can use to really improve your sound.

joshuaskillsrobles responds:

Well i got a new music program, maybe that will help.

Play Wipeout Before?

I enjoyed the deversity of this particular track, there was lots to listen to as the track continued. It has the sound from the Wipeout series which has an airy and futuristic speed to it. It transitions into itself well because I may have listened to it 2 or 3 times without realizing that it has looped. It is definately something to be proud of and I'm looking forward to hearing more of your work!

Mataro responds:

Actually no, I haven't played Wipeout lol =D. Thanks a lot, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it ^^. And don't worry, more songs are already on the go =p.

Soft striking but good listening

The intro wasn't that bad and it ended in the same way so it was well prepared. The song in it's entirety was soft in volume, the master volume could have been raised a bit to give the experience a little more punch. The beat break in the middle was a welcome change from the regular track. The rythym was easy to listen to as well. It sounds like you can apply this as BGM to sneaking and covert situations rather than outright fighting senarios. It was a good listen, and I hope to hear more from you!

phoenixdk responds:

Thanks for the review!
I have to say, I agree with pretty much all you had to say. To explain, I always keep the volume a bit low, since soft volumes can be boosted without problems, but loud volumes (beyond clipping at 0 dB) cannot be easily restored.
As for the title and description, I'm not referring to it's use in, say, a flash animation, but rather what the track sounds like to me. It was made with a scene like that playing in my mind's own little cinema.

Airy and Futuristic

It's got a very futuristic feeling to it, as if set to an avionic or underwater setting. It could also be used as a mood setter for turning points in stories form the urgency of the sound close to the end of the track. I really liked the use of the wind like instruments in the beginning but I didn't care for the lazer sound effects, but that's my personal preference. It didn't bother me to listen to it for a few loops so it was quite enjoyable.

EvilBob55 responds:

Heh. To tell the truth the lasers were becuase I was showing the program to a freind at their house for about 10 minutes. The lasers were becuase I was showwing him the effects and he was like "ohh put that in!" . I probably would not have normaly put them in.

Good Sample

Sounds like you were just messing around and trying something new, but the attempt wasn't that bad and has potential as you gain more experience in the genre. The bass riff is blown to distortion but I think that was what you were going for? But the components that compose this piece work together decently. Keep pumping out more stuff, and you'll come up with some interesting stuff, I'm sure.

Amnatrix responds:

Ya it was what I was going for. This one I didn't spend much time on, was just bored and threw something up.

Steel Drum's sounding pretty good.

The loop is pretty good, just need to fix up the transition so the loop is more clean cut. It's got the sound of an 16-bit videogame which isn't bad since it's exactly what you used it for. The use of the midi keyboard gives it a campy classic sound that gives the music a little age. I like the presentation of your music.

Plasmatic responds:

thanks for the constructive criticism. gotta love that steel drum..and thanks for playin the game!
